NOVEMBER 9TH - NIGHTMARES - INFERNO

When Robert Langdon wakes up in an Italian hospital with amnesia, he teams up with Dr. Sienna Brooks, and together they must race across Europe against the clock to foil a deadly global plot.IMDB

Tonight the boyfriend and I went to go see the new movie Inferno. This movie is a third installment of a popular written novel series. The first movie was The Da Vinci Code and the second movie was Angels & Demons. Both of those films were very well done so I was interested to see if this one was as good.

This movie stars Tom Hanks as the Professor Robert Langdon who was also the main character in the two other films. Langdon wakes up in a hospital and meets a young woman named Sienna. He slowly starts to figure out something is wrong when the police arrive to "talk to him" and immediately start shooting at him. The whole movie is based on a man who bioengineered a deadly plague that if released would kill 95% of the worlds population in a matter of a month. The creator of the virus wanted to create a new world order where we could start over again and get rid of all the problems caused by overpopulation. Langdon has to figure out who is most truthful and who to trust as he tries to stop the virus from getting released.

All I can say is WOW. Such a good movie. Tom Hanks is obviously excellent as always which helps. However this movie's plot line is what really made it great. The amount of crazy twists and turns keep you on the edge of your seat in suspense. It is quite confusing but for someone who loves movies you really have to figure out it was great. My boyfriend on the other hand spent most of the movie asking "okay wait I'm confused whats happening now? who are the good guys?" which was quite hilarious. This movie also made me think about the incredible reality of a mass plague killing off the world. The amount of shows they have created off this idea really make you wonder.

My Rating 10/10

  1. I'm so happy that you also loved this movie. I don't know what those critics are talking about when they said it was too confusing. I mean, how can you go wrong with Tom Hanks?
